We will advertise on craigslist and through the District 1 Newsletter.  We will also place a few signs on Williams.  Residents can do their own sales as they wish.  PNA will provide shoppers and sellers with a list of sellers' addresses and notes about what they are selling.  Residents can sign up through an Evite invitation going out via e-mail, or by contacting Jenny Bixby at 247-7666.  On Saturday at 2pm, the Salvation Army will bring a truck to collect large items, donations, and e-waste.

The city of San Jose will provide a free dumpster.  You should receive more information in the form of a postcard from the city detailing where you can take various items, and the hours of operation for the various dumpsters placed throughout the neighborhood.  Remember to keep your postcard, as it is also what identifies you as a resident of the area, and will allow you access to the dumpsters.

West San Jose Community Center 3707 Williams Road, San Jose

Join Councilmember Pete Constant, District 1 Leadership Group, and San Jose Code Enforcement to clean up illegal signs in the public right-of-way.  Kick-off will be at the West San Jose Community Center at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010.  You will receive a brief training from Code Enforcement officers then go out in teams to clean up the blight! Code enforcement will supply assignments, maps, trash bags, green vests, and copies of the municipal code to all participants.  Lunch will be provided for volunteers.  For more information call the District 1 Office at (408) 535-4901.
